We bring awareness to the issues children face in foster care and provide various supports to help bridge the gap within their peer group and the systems that affect their lives.
In 2006, Founder Cathy Oskowiak adopted a child from the foster care system. Shortly afterward, she began working with a local foster agency as a Nurse Consultant. Through her close work with foster and biological families, Cathy witnessed firsthand the many challenges that children in the foster care system face every day.
Driven by compassion and purpose, Cathy and Patti Hartman joined forces to raise awareness and inspire community action to support these vulnerable children. Together, they founded Foster Angels on Earth, Inc., with a shared mission to bring hope, stability, and dignity to children in foster care.
The reality for many foster children is heartbreaking. They are often removed suddenly from the only family they’ve ever known—sometimes with nothing more than the clothes on their back.
Cathy and Patti saw an urgent need to bridge the gap between what the system can provide and what children truly need to thrive. As President and Co-Founder, Patti Hartman has
continued to expand the organization’s reach and impact. Through programs that provide holiday gifts, backpacks for school, clothing for new placements, and other essential supports, Foster Angels on Earth has become a beacon of compassion and community involvement, giving foster children a reason to smile and hope for a brighter future.
